  • NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: INAUGURATION OF THE CONSTANTINIAN AMBULATORY

    In the presence of His Eminence Cardinal Sepe and of HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, the inauguration of the Constantinian ambulatory took place at the Royal Basilica of San Francesco di Paola,. The Constantinian ambulatory will offer free consultations to the needy people.

  • NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: SOLEMN MASS AT THE BASILICA OF SAN FRANCESCO DI PAOLA

    On November 9th, Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Archbishop of Naples, presided the solemn celebration for the ceremony of handing over to Father Mario Savarese at the Royal Pontifical Basilica of San Francesco di Paola. The Grand Prefect, HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, attended the solemn ceremony with a large group of knights of the delegation. Our Order also offered a guard of honor at the entrance of Cardinal Sepe and during the ceremony. HRH the Grand Prefect and the Order itself were thanked by His Eminence Cardinal Sepe for their charitable activities.

  • SICILY: ACTIVITIES OF THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER

    On November 8th, the usual delivery for the project Briciole di Salute took place at the Benedictine Abbey of S. Martino delle Scale. The vice delegate, accompanied by Mr. Francesco Paolo Guarneri, presented to Father Bernardo, responsible of the Benedictine Caritas, in the presence of the Reverend Father Vittorio Rizzone, diapers, 96 liters of milk and several kilograms of pasta. These products will be distributed to needy families with children assisted by Benedictine fathers.

    On Friday, November 8th, the vice delegate and Mr. Francesco Paolo Guarneri donated to the Abbey of San Martino delle Scale, on behalf of the Order, 13 copies of ancient paintings representing abbots who later became bishops. The paintings are intended to enrich and complete the splendid corridors of the old monastery, where many other paintings are already exposed.

    On November 10th, a painting by Pietro Novelli of Monreale was restored and given back to the Abbey of San Martino delle Scale, in the presence of civil and military authorities. After the presentation of the restoration, a solemn Eucharistic celebration was held in honor of San Martino, presided by HE Msgr. Michele Pennisi. A delegation of Constantinian knights took part in the solemn religious ceremony.

  • TUSCANY: DONATION IN PORTOFERRAIO

    Portoferraio (LI), November 7th, 2019 – The representative of the island of Elba, Mr. Andrea Terreni, on behalf of the delegation of Tuscany, donated staple foods to St Giuseppe Vecchio Preschool. The project “Briciole di Salute” keeps on helping children from three to six years old.

  • LOMBARDY: ACTIVITIES IN BERGAMO AND COMO

    On November 7th, Mrs. Veronica Grillo delivered the diocesan Caritas director some essential goods for the people hosted in the Caritas dormitory – “Il Galgario”, located in the former monastery attached to the church. Some Knights and volunteers actively participated in this initiative.

    The delegation of Como and of Lecco worked closely together to collect food for various religious associations. Last week about 1,000 kilograms of dehydrated vegetables were delivered. The donation was possible thanks to the coordination of the vice delegate Giuseppe Rizzani and the help of the Knights of Como.

  • NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: HOLY MASS ON THE OCCASION OF THE CELEBRATION OF SAINT CHARLES

    On the occasion of the celebration of Saint Charles, the Knights and Dames of delegation, including many Guard of Honor volunteers, celebrated a Mass at the Basilica of Saint Claire in Naples in tribute to King Charles and King Francis I. The Knights paid tribute to HRH the Duke of Castro, Head of the Royal House and Grand Master, recalling the many charitable activities he has carried out and which still carries out.

  • SICILY: SOME ACTIVITIES FOR THE PROJECT “BRICIOLE DI SALUTE”

    The Vice Delegate of the Sicilian delegation, accompanied by Mr. Francesco Paolo Guarneri and Dr. Gregory Dendramis, visited H.E. Msgr. Giorgio Demetrio Gallaro in Piana degli Albanesi. During the meeting, in the presence of the Head of the Diocesan Caritas, Dr. Giuseppe Caruso, new charity projects were discussed. In the end, the bishop delivered the current copies of the hagiography of San Demetrio Megalomartire. Immediately afterwards, the delegation delivered to Caritas some products of the “Briciole di Salute” project.

    On November 2nd, the Tuscan delegation and the Sicilian delegation donated snacks and cookies to the Casa del Sorriso in Monreale, The cookies are made by Mrs. Enza Pizzolato at her bakery in Alcamo.

    On October 30th, the second distribution of october for the project “Briciole di Salute” was held in Monreale. Volunteers Sonia Lo Monaco and Antonella Zito distributed diapers, baby food, milk, snacks, children’s clothing, pastries and toys for children.

    On October 27th, HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect, accompanied by the Vice Delegate, visited the structure “La Vergine della Tenda di Cristo” in Acireale which hosts needy mothers and their children. Immediately before a charity lunch to raise funds for the structure, the Princess and the Bishop delivered to the structure many products for the project “Briciole di Salute”.

  • TUSCANY: DONATION IN PRATO

    Poggio a Caiano, November 2nd, 2019 – The representative for the city of Patro, Mr. Dino Greco, in collaboration with the Knights Antonio Vignali and Giacomo Perrina, assisted by aspiring knights and volunteers, has carried out a collection of foodstuffs. The collected food will be distributed to families in need in the province of Prato.

  • LOMBARDY: PHOTOGRAPHIC CONTEST IN COMO

    Cernobbio (Como), November 3rd, 2019 – The awards ceremony for the 41st edition of the photographic contest was held at the marvelous Villa d’Este in Cernobbio and was attended by the Knights of Como as promoters of this important initiative. The Vice-Delegate of the region, Mr. Giuseppe Rizzani, was also present at the award ceremony, alongside the local authorities.
