  • PIEDMONT: DONATION AND FEAST

    August 25th 2019 – Mr. Massimo Trasforini made the 4th Donation to a needy family, purchasing a sofa with blankets and sheets. This donation will be repeated on a monthly basis.

    The patronal feast of St. Anne presided by the Chaplain Augusto Piccoli took place on Sunday 28th of July at the Parish Church of Lunassi. The representative of Alexandria, Mrs. Simona Delfino, also read the prayer of the Constantinian Knight at the end of the procession.

  • SICILY: DELEGATION’S SUMMER ACTIVITIES

    On July 24th, the second distribution of products of the project Briciole di Salute took place in Monreale, at the Constantinian Church Maria SS degli Agonizzanti.

    July 10th was a feast day for the community of the old district of the “Civita” of Catania, since Father Giuseppe Scrivano celebrated his ninth anniversary of priesthood at the church of San Francesco di Paola.

    On July 29th the usual distribution of products of the project Briciole di Salute took place in Piazza Armerina.

    On August 4th, the second edition of “Cycling to give hope” was held in Piazza Armerina. The event, sponsored by various local authorities, including the Sicilian delegation of the Order, brought together all citizens, regardless of their age, on a charity day. The donations made were entirely donated to the FASTED Onlus association in Palermo.

    On July 31st, the vice delegate handed Dom Bernardo, head of the Caritas of the benedictine Abbey of S. Martino delle Scale, many products requested by the Benedictine monks.

    On July 31st, the vice delegate and Mrs. Lia Giangreco gave to Casa del Sorriso’s volunteers some diapers, baby food and milk.

    On August 1st a food distribution was organized in Acireale.

    On August 3rd, the vice Delegate and Mr. Pier Francesco Mistretta gave to Archbishop Leonardo Giordano some products of the project Briciole di Salute.

    On August 9th the vice delegate handed Archpriest Don Vincenzo Ambrogio some products in Carini.

    On August 12th HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect, accompanied by the vice Delegate, delivered food products of the project Briciole di Salute project to the canteen of S. Corrado in Noto.

    On August 11st, on the occasion of the celebration in honor of Maria SS. Addolorata in Marsala, a representation of the Order took part in the Mass celebrated by Bishop Giancarlo Tumbarello. At the end of the liturgy, a procession took place as well.

  • ABRUZZO: MEETING IN VENAFRO

    On Sunday, July 14th the delegation of Abruzzo met in Venafro to celebrate the beginning of summer. This year, the meeting was of great union and fraternity. In fact, the presence of the delegate of Abruzzo and Molise of the Sovereign and Military Order of Malta, Mr. Gaetano Blasetti, of the delegate of the Molise of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem Giuseppe Reale, as well as the delegates of Liguria Giovanni Chersola and Umbria Claudio Marciano de Scala enriched the the meeting. Lots of knights and dames as well as military and civil authorities from the region attended.  

    The Mass was celebrated by the Vicar General of the Diocese of Isernia-Venafro, Msgr. Rocco Iannacone.

    At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, the delegate made a brief speech about the Order and its activities. A concert followed. At the end of the religious ceremony, people gathered with their families at the Albergo Ristorante Dora for a lunch .

  • PIEDMONT: PROCESSION IN CUNEO

    The representation of Cuneo, together with Bishop Piero Delbosco, Knights Gianluca Bergoglio, Flavio Fantino, Eraldo Luciano and Gian Maria Aliberti Gerbotto took part in the procession dedicated to Madonna del Carmine in Cuneo.

  • SICILY: ACTIVITIES OF THE MONTH OF JULY

    The first monthly distribution of the project “Briciole di Salute” was held on Wednesday, July 10th in Monreale. The vice delegate, together with the volunteers Daniela Prestigiacomo, Antonella Zito and Sonia Lo Monaco, distributed several products for early childhood, including diapers, baby food, cookies, pasta, milk and numerous items for children from zero to three years old.

    On July 3rd, H.E. Bishop Michele Pennisi, on the seventeenth anniversary of his episcopal ordination, presided over a solemn pontificate at the cathedral of Monreale. Many Knights were present, as well as the vice delegate, Mrs. Maria Antonietta Spagnolo, Mr. Piero Macaluso, Mr. Andrea Di Giovanna, a delegation from the Holy Sepulcher and civil and military authorities.

  • TUSCANY: THE PROJECT “BRICIOLE DI SALUTE” IN VIAREGGIO

    Viareggio, July 13th, 2019 – Mr. Alessandro Freschi and Mr. Gianpaolo Di Giorgio donated essential foodstuffs to Father Luigi Pellegrini, pastor of Santa Rita Church. This donation is part of the project “Briciole di Salute”.

  • LOMBARDY: THE CONSTANTINIAN ORDER ATTENDS THE XXVI REGIONAL FIRST AID CONTEST OF THE ITALIAN RED CROSS

    As part of the XXVI Regional First Aid Contest of the Italian Red Cross, Bishop Arnaldo Morandi attended the ceremony and presented the greetings of Msgr. Pierpaolo Villa.

    In his speech, Bishop Morandi recalled the protocol of collaboration between the Order and the Red Cross, highlighting the factual initiatives taken with the Brescia committee, led by Dr. Carolina David.

    It is also on this occasion that the Constantinian Order, thanks to Mr. Daniele Gavezzoli’s initiative, provided many bottles of water for all participants. The presence of many young people was particularly significant and was emphasized by the Prior.

  • CALABRIA: SOLEMN CELEBRATION IN TROPEA

    On June 29th, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Father Francesco Mottola, the Calabrian delegation took part in the solemn celebration at the concathedral of the Most Holy Mary of Romania in Tropea. The day began with a moment of prayer in front of the tomb, where the Vice Delegate handed over the insignia of the Order to Archbishop Filippo Ramondino, as well as the letter of appointment as Ecclesiastical Knight of Grace and Chaplain of the city of Vibo Valentia. Subsequently, the delegation participated in a mass.

  • PIEDMONT AND VALLE D’AOSTA: LITURGY AND MEETING

    On June 29th the representative for the cities of Alessandria and Asti organized a liturgical and friendly moment at the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta of Fabbrica Curone (AL). Many Knights and military authorities attended the solemn celebration. Mrs. Simona Delfino read the Knight’s prayer and invited everyone to a friendly meeting in a typical restaurant of the area.

    On Monday, July 1st, the vice delegate, Mr. Mario R. Baschirotto, gathered all the representatives of the delegation of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta to inform them of the future objectives as well as the planning of the next investiture of new Knights and Dames. They also had a friendly dinner together.
