Bergamo, February 18th, 2019 – The Representative for the city of Bergamo, Mrs. Veronica Grillo, accompanied by Mrs. Patrizia Arti Carminati, Mr. Otte Strouken and some friends were received by the Director of the RSA “Maria Immacolata” of Calvenzano, Dr. Luca Vigano and the Mayor Dr. Fabio Ferla and delivered materials dedicated to the recreational activities of the 80 guests of the structure.
Brescia, February 15th, 2019– A group of Knights and Dames, led by the Marquis Paolo Landriani, participated to the celebration presided by the Bishop of Brescia H.E. Msgr. Pierantonio Tremolada, on the occasion of the feast of the patron saints Faustino and Giovita. Archbishop Arnaldo Morandi, Representative of Brescia and Secretary General of the Office of the Grand Prior, concelebrated the Mass with the Bishop. At the end of the Mass, Mons. Tremolada showed his appreciation towards the religious and charitable activities of the Order.
Timoline (BS), February 9th, 2019 – Mr. Bartolomeo Bonafede and Mr. Giuseppe Antonio Scolaro, belonging to the representation of Brescia, donated to Father Lorenzo Medeghini (SS Cosma and Damiano parish inTimoline) various food products that include 150 kg of pasta, cans of tomato sauce and peeled tomatos for the needs of some poor families of the territory.
On January 31st, some Knights and Ladies of Brescia, Mantua and Cremona supported the activities of the Association “Tecnici, Sanitari e Volontari” of the Province of Brescia. The association proposes to perform free x-ray exams for all people who can not go to the hospital, thus helping the sick who have severe physical and psychological diseases. Thirty Knights participated in the event, generously offered by a Knight of the representation of Brescia. Msgr. Arnaldo Morandi, Prior of Lombardy and Representative of Brescia and Mantua, also illustrated the program for the year 2019.
Mantua, January 11th, 2019. Some Knights of Brescia, with some Mantuan sympathizers, offered the diocesan Caritas about 500 kg of pasta for the first time. Ms. Silvia Canuti, Director of Caritas Diocesan, thanked the Knights for this first charity initiative, which is a starting signal for a Constantinian presence also in the territory of Mantua.
Brescia, January 10th 2019. Mr. Stefano Villotta delivered different kinds of materials for children to the Cinofili Leonessa Protezione Civile ONLUS group in Brescia. This is the third delivery of equipment for children who are assisted by the provincial emergency group.
Brescia, January 5th, 2019 – Mr. Francesco Spada and Mr. Daniele Gavezzoli, having proceeded to the usual collection of food products in the various market stands of Brescia, delivered to the Prior Father Benedetto Toglia about 200 kg of fruits and vegetables in favour of the disadvantaged families and the elderly of the place and the Sisters of Santa Marta, who run the parochial primary school “Casa San Giuseppe” in Rodengo-Saiano.
Bergamo, January 3rd and 4th, 2019 – Mrs. Veronica Grillo, accompanied by several knights and some volunteers, distributed hot meals at the “Opera Padre Beretta” canteen of the Capuchin Fathers in the heart of the city of Bergamo. The following day, Mr. Otte Strouken offered different types of food to guarantee hot meals to 150 people.
Brescia, January 1st 2019 – The representatives of Brescia and Mantua, with the collaboration of the representative of Cremona, offered a lunch on the first day of the year at the diocesan Caritas canteen “Mother Eugenia Menni”. Msgr. Arnaldo Morandi, prior of Lombardy, with a representation of knights and dames, helped the caritas volunteers to prepare the rooms and the lunch service, which was attended by more than 200 guests. This initiative is part of the program of collaboration with Caritas Diocesan of Brescia and was entirely offered by a Knight of the Brescian delegation who wishes to remain anonymous. All meals also offered by other members of the Order will be distributed in the coming days of the year.
Bergamo, December 16th, 2018 – Mrs. Veronica Grillo, with some knights and volunteers, delivered a large quantity of food to the convent of the Capuchin Fathers, that will be given to the “Opera Padre Beretta” canteen which distributes between 150 and 200 hot meals each day. It was also the occasion to present to the manager, Father Riccardo Corti, a copy of the spiritual vademecum of the knights and dames of the Constantinian Order.
