  • PIEDMONT AND VALLE D’AOSTA: EASTER PRECEPT

    TORINO PRECETTO PASQUALEThe Easter Precept was celebrated on March, 23rd in Torino at Cappella dei Banchieri e dei Mercanti. The Vice Delegate and the new Representatives of the delegation attended the celebration. The liturgy gave everyone the chance to think on the real meaning of the Holy Week, which was organized by all the participants. Afterwards there was a convial meeting where the membres talked about the delegation’s future activities.

  • ALESSANDRIA – MASS FOR THE BEATIFIED MARIA CRISTINA – 2018

    Foto2alOn January, 27th 2018 the Delegation of Piedmont celebrated the beatified Maria Cristina, Queen of Two Sicilies, at St. Giovannino Church in Alessandria.

    At the beginning of the liturgy the Rapresentative of the city, Mr. Roberto Piccinini, greeted all those who were present on behalf of the Vice Delegate of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta, Mr. Mario Baschirotto, and explained the profile and the actions carried out by “the Holy Queen”, Victor Emmanuel I of Savoy’s daughter. Maria Cristina became Quen after marrying to Ferdinand II of Two Sicilies.

  • PIEDMONT: BRICIOLE DI SALUTE IN TURIN

    Turin, January 23rd 2018. The Delegation of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta donated food and basic products to the Community for minors “Pro Infantia Derelicta” in Turin. The Vice Delegate for Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta, Mr. Mario Baschirotto, Don Augusto Piccoli, the Representative for the city of Cuneo, Mr. Bruno Pietro and some Knights of the delegation participated. After the donation, a convivial meeting  and a discussion on the past activities and the following ones took place at “Circolo Ufficiali” in Turin.

  • PIEDMONT AND VALLE D’AOSTA DELEGATION – NEW DONATION TO THE PRO INFANTIA DERELICTA

    IMG-20170719-WA0007 Turin, 22 July 2017 – A group of Knights, Dames and newly appointed members of the Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta Delegation, led by Mr. Mauro Maggione, responded to a request for assistance from the former orphanage of Turin, the Pro Infantia Derelicta, by providing the facility with a copious donation of food and home and personal hygiene items.

    This new donation comes under the project “The Hunger of our Neighbor”, so strongly supported by H.R.H. prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Grand Master.

  • PIEMONTEAND VALLE D’AOSTA – ACTIVITIES DURING THE MONTH OF MARCH

    In March the Delegation of Piemonte and the Valle d’Aosta also diversified  the activities performed by the Knights and Dames in various cities.

    On Monday, March 20,  the Delegation of Alessandria commemorated the  death of H.R.H. Prince Ferdinand of Bourbon Two Sicilies, the LIII Grand Master, and all the deceased of the Order, in accordance with the instructions contained in chapt. IX of the By-laws.

    The memorial mass was celebrated by the Chaplain of the Delegation, Don Augusto Piccoli, Knight of Ecclesiastical Grace.

    In agreement with the Vice Delegate of the Piedmont Region, Dott. Mario Baschirotto, funds were collected during mass  to be used to purchase food items for the poor. The items will be distributed by a special “center” opened in the Parish of St. Lorenzo of Alessandria.

  • VALLE D’AOSTA – FIRST STEPS TAKEN IN THE REGION

     aosta1Saint Vincent (AO) 14 March 2017.  The cross of the Constantinian Order made its initial appearance in the Valle d’Aosta by offering a donation of various items. The donation was organized by new member Mirco Ciccarese, together with other  supporters of the Order.

    In accordance with the recommendation of Police Chaplain Don Andrea Marcoz, parish priest of Chatillon (AO), the volunteers decided to donate these items to “Tenda Amica”, a facility that provides nightly lodgings.

    Tenda Amica has eight beds and comes under the supervision of the parish of this spa city. However, it is managed entirely by volunteers and provides its guests with the possibility of a hot shower, a healthy breakfast and a bed for the night.  Guests may use the facility for up to one month.

     

  • BELLINZAGO NOVARESE – DONATION

    novaraBellinzago Novarese, , 22 February 2017 – The fourth phase of the solidarity tour of the Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta Delegation took place on February 22nd .
    Vice Delegate Dott. Mario Baschirotto, accompanied by several Knights and incoming members of the newly constituted Novara and Vercelli Representation donated more than 2400 diapers to the Caritas of Bellinzago Novarese, kindly offered by the Donors Italia non-profit organization
    The Officials and President of the Caritas of Bellinzago Novarese were most appreciative of this initiative.

  • CUNEO –DONATION OF CLOTHING, FOOTWEAR AND BLANKETS

    IMG-20170208-WA0006Cuneo, 10 febbraio Cuneo, 10 February – On the morning of February 10 a new solidarity activity initiated by the Vice Delegate for the Piedmont region took place, thanks also to the valuable contribution of Knight Nicolò Papurello who donated to the Caritas of Fossano, for the third time in a few weeks, numerous packages of clothing, shoes and blankets.
    A generous number of Knights and incoming members of the newly constituted Cuneo Delegation was welcomed by the President of the Caritas and by the Vicar General of the Diocese of Fossano (CN), Mons. Derio Olivero.
    This initiative is part of the unitary project “The Hunger of our Neighbor” and fulfils the request of the Cardinal Grand Prior to cooperate increasingly with the diocesan facilities of the respective Delegations.

  • ALESSANDRIA – ACTIVITIES DURING THE MONTH OF JANUARY

    IMG_20170131_114340The month of January marked the resumption of activities for the Order in Alessandria. Following appointment of the new Representative, Knight Roberto Piccinini, a full schedule of activities was planned.
    The points of reference for the activities of the Order, as indicated by the Delegate Count Carlo Gustavo Figarolo di Groppello and Vice Delegate Dott. Mario Baschirotto, are two: evidence of faith and charity, represented by service to the needy, the foundation of the project established by the Grand Master of the Order, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro: “The Hunger of our Neighbor”.
    On January 8, on the day of the Baptism of our Lord, the Knights and Dames renewed their baptismal vows and received from the Representative a copy of the Knight’s Prayer (recited at the conclusion of the ceremony) and the Vademecum prepared by the Grand Prior of the Order: “For a Spiritual Path of the Constantinian Knights and Dames”.
    On January 28 the Knights and Dames convened once again in honor of the Blessed Maria Cristina of Savoy, Queen of the Two Sicilies. In this case also all received, together with an image of the Blessed Cristina and related prayer, narrative of the person of the Blessed Queen.
    On January 31, the Vice Delegate and Representative, together with several Knights of the Delegation donated to the “Piccolo Cottolengo di Don Orione” of Tortona a significant number of articles of clothing to be donated to the young guests ( suffering from serious handicaps) of the facility.
    A visit to the adjacent Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia, repository of the body of San Luigi Orione, “Apostle of charity and father of the poor”, as defined by San Giovanni Paolo II, concluded the day and the month’s activities.

  • TORINO, 31 GENNAIO – DONAZIONE DI INDUMENTI

    Torino, 31 gennaio 2017 – Lo scorso 31 gennaio 2017 la  Delegazione del Piemonte e Valle d’Aosta, nella persona del Delegato Vicario Cav. Dott. Mario Rodolfo Baschirotto,  ha organizzato con la partecipazione di alcuni Cavalieri ed Ammittendi, una raccolta di indumenti e coperte volta a contribuire alle esigenze dei meno fortunati consegnandola all’Istituto Cottolengo della città di Torino.

    Questa iniziativa rientra nel grande progetto denominato “LA FAME DEL NOSTRO VICINO” fortemente voluto da Sua Altezza Reale il Principe Carlo di Borbone delle Due Sicilie, Duca di Castro e Gran  Maestro del nostro glorioso Ordine.

    Un grazie particolare da parte del Delegato Vicario va al Cav. Nicolò Papurello per la sua indispensabile contribuzione.
