  • THE VICAR DELEGATION OF LAZIO ORGANIZE A SPIRITUAL MEETING IN SUBIACO

    Rome, 8/10 October 2015. As  every year, the Vicar Delegation  of Lazio organizes a “retreat” to reinforce the spirit that binds us to our illustrious Order and to inform and train the aspirants on the Statutes they  undertake to respect.

    This year’s retreat will be held on 8, 9 and 10 October at the Monastery of St. Scolastica in Subiaco, in Piazzale Santa  Scolastica with the participation of the twinned Delegation of Abruzzo and Molise.

    The hospitality at the Monastery is full board (arrival in the afternoon of the 8th, thursday, untill  the afternoon of saturday 10, after lunch). The agreed price is € 50.00 per person in a double room and € 60,00 per person in a single room.

    The retreatl will be in memory of our beloved Prior Don Elio who,  before leaving this earthly world,  recommended to go on with  this  tradition,  lasting from more than  ten years, by  choosing as  theme of the retreat the last encyclical of His Holiness Pope Francis: “Laudato Si”.

    We will be  accompanied y during this  journey of faith by the Reverend Father Abbot and the Benedictine fathers who will be delegated by him, as well as by  our dear Brother Deacon, Don Vincenzo Testa, and the Chaplain.

  • SECOND DELIVERY OF GOODS, CLOTHING AND MEDICINES IN FAVOUR OF THE POPULATION OF NEPAL

    Rome, 29 July 2015. The Vicar Delegate of Rome  of the Constantinian Order, Marquis lawyer Giorgio MIRTI della VALLE, instructed the Chancellor of the Delegation, Dr. Fabrizio Nobile RATTO-VAQUER, to organize a second delivery of goods (15 packages containing T-shirts, shirts, golf for a total of about 500 items of clothing, in addition to material for children) to be sent, via the Italian Red Cross, to the earthquake victims in Nepal. Coordination and identification of the donations overall has been realized thanks to the collaboration of the brothers,  knight Dr. Vincenzo Gaglione and the Dama Dr. Antoinetta Capparella. The project Nepal  of the Vicar Delegation of Rome of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George, consisted of two big offers in favor of the local hospital of the  Red Cross  and of the earthquake victims. This project is only a part of a wider project “The hunger of our neighbour” strongly supported by the Grand Master of the Order H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, in addition to the ongoing food support and health care to the needy of the parish of S. Giuseppe al Trionfale in Rome and other initiatives in favor of the homeless of the City.

  • DELIVERY OF GOODS, CLOTHING AND MEDICINES IN FAVOUR OF POPULATION OF NEPAL

    Rome June 27, 2015. The Vicar Delegation of Rome, according to Dr. Maria Teresa Letta, Vice President of the Italian Red Cross, made a big effort, in these weeks, to collect  essential goods in favor of the earthquake victims in Nepal.

    The large quantity of material collected, including medical devices (defibrillators and wheel chairs), tents to set up hospitals, emergency shelter and clothing for those disadvantaged populations, was offered , on June 27 at 16:30,  in the parish of S. Giuseppe al Trionfale  at  the presence of the Delegate  of Lazio,  H.S.H Prince Manfred Windisch-Graetz and the Vicar Delegate  for the city of Rome, the Marquis Lawyer Giorgio Mirti della Valle, as well as Knights and Dames of the Order.

    This important initiative is part of the project “The hunger of our neighbour” strongly supported by Our Grand Master H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, and integrates the continuous activities of the Order to give food and health support to the  the poor of the parish of S. Giuseppe al Trionfale.

  • COLLECTION OF GOODS, MEDICINE AND CLOTHES FOR THE PEOPLE OF NEPAL

    Rome, 9 May 2015. The vicarious delegation of Rome of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George – as part of the project, “The Hunger of Our Neighbour”, which is strongly supported by the Grand Master of the SMCOSG, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, as well as part of the continual food and health aid for those in need of the Parish of San Giuseppe al Trionfale – has organised a collection of basic necessities, including medicines and clothing, to help the earthquake victims in Nepal.

    Rome’s vicarious Delegate of the Constantinian Order, Marquis Giorgio Mirti della Valle, gave the Chancellor of the Delegation, the nobleman Doctor Fabrizio Ratto-Vaquer, the responsibility of getting in touch with the Italian Red Cross who are organising the shipping of basic necessities to the earthquake victims in Nepal.

    Consequently, he gave mandate to his peers, Knight Doctor Vincenzo Gaglione and Lady Doctor Antonietta Capparella for the coordination and identification of donations to help Nepal. They were already responsible for the coordination and distribution of provisions to the parish of San Giuseppe al Trionfale where, on 23rd April, for the solemnity of the patron saint, George, the Grand Prior of the Order, the Most Eminent Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino celebrated the Holy Mass, followed by the distribution of food packages and clothing to help those in need in the parish.

    After collecting a sufficient quantity of goods to send to the earthquake victims in Nepal, the vicarious delegation of Rome of the SMCOSG will come to an agreement with the Italian Red Cross to decide on a date for the delivery of the donations.

     

  • INITIATIVES OF THE VICAR DELEGATION OF ROME ACCORDING TO THE PROJECT “THE HUNGER OF OUR NEIGHBOUR”

    Rome – March 11, 2015- The Vicar Delegation  of Rome, according to  the project “The hunger of our neighbour “, created by our Grand Master of the Constantinian Order of St. George, after offering a lunch to 500 poor persons on December 8, 2014, along with a service of showers and change clothes,  has launched a project to provide food to poor people living in the districts  Prati-Trionfale Rome.

    The Vicar Delegate of Rome Marquis Lawyer Giorgio Mirti della Valle, charged  the Chancellor of the Vicar Delegation, Dr Noble. Fabrizio Ratto-Vaquer, to start a new project of assistance to poor people  within the program “The hunger of our neighbour” which includes the donations of about 500 kg. of food, such as pasta, bread, biscuits, fruit and soft drinks, as well as other basic necessities.

    Everything is coordinated and organized by Dr. Vincenzo Gaglione, knight of merit, who has found the people able to donate the necessary  food to the Parish of San Giuseppe al Trionfale for all those people who are below the poverty line and also for families with serious economic difficulties.

    Within this project, the delegation also offered a stock of 100 pullover.

    The parish of San Giuseppe al Trionfale is situated a few hundred meters from the Centre for Health,COS, of the Vicar  Delegation of Rome (coordinated by Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Giuseppe de Lorenzo) inaugurated on February 16, 2015, in the presence of  the Grand Treasurer H.E. Notary Claudio Limontini. Thus the Vicar Delegation of Rome is able to offer to the poors living in the  districts Trionfale-Prati and the surrounding areas a service of food and health, helping the parishes of the Prefectures of reference of the Vicariate of the Diocese of Rome.

    For the month of March, there is also the ” Charity lucky dip in occasion of St. Giuseppe day”, organized by the Parish in the week going from 15 to 22 March 2015. The intention of the Vicar Delegation of Rome is making an offer in support of the “charity lucky dip” to  purchase one or more prizes (payable by the Constantinian Order) fundable with some great offers, specially designed by donors in favor of charitable works of the Order.

    Several valuable objects will be personally offered  by the Vicar Delegate of Rome, Marquis Lawyer Giorgio Mirti della Valle and by the Chancellor the  Noble Dr  Fabrizio Ratto-Vaquer.

    On Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 16:00  H.E. the very Reverend Cardinal Severino Poletto, presbyter of S. Giuseppe, in Trionfale street, will preside at the solemn Mass and procession, in the presence of the Representatives of the City of Rome and of the Vicar Delegation of Rome  of the Sacred Military Constantinian order of Saint George.

  • XXIV NATIONAL CONVENTION OF TRADITIONALIST AND FAITHFUL CITY OF GAETA

    Gaeta – February 5, 2015. Once again, even  this year from 5 to 15 February  there will be the Convention of the  traditionalist  and faithful city of Gaeta entitled ” The bourbond and the sea.”

    The ceremony was born by the will of our Order, at the time was represented by HE The Marquis Achille Di Lorenzo, and today we have reached the 24th edition.

    The convention  will include several cultural initiatives, conferences and  liturgical ceremonies.

  • Press Release – Presentation of the book : ” The King. Alfonso of Bourbon, Count of Caserta”. by Marquis Gaetano de Felice at the Link Campus University.

    Rome – Friday, November 21 at  the Link Campus University in Rome in the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the death of HRH Prince Alfonso of Bourbon, the Delegation of Lazio of the Sacred Military Constantinian  Order of St. George, the Link Campus University and the d’Amico Editore with the patronage of the National Association of Italian Constantinian Knights (chaired by Marquis Don Giuliano Buccino Grimaldi) and the support of the National Association of former students of Nunziatella, organized the presentation of the book  entitled “The King. Alfonso of Bourbon, Count of Caserta” by Marquis Gaetano de Felice.

    The book is dedicated to the figure of the Prince progenitor of the current members of the Royal House of the Two Sicilies and edited by Giuseppe Catenacci, passionate bibliophile and Honorary President of the National Association of former students of Nunziatella, and Francesco Maurizio Di Giovine, historian.

    The presentation, moderated by dr. Roberto della Rocca, concludes a series of events dedicated to the successors of King Francis II and had as speakers the two authors of the book; Mr. Sevi Scafetta  and Mr. Giovanni Grimaldi.

    They were present: H.S.H.Prince Manfredi Windisch-Graetz, Delegate for Rome and   Lazio of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George,  Marquis  Giorgio Mirti della Valle, Vice Delegate for the city of Rome, the lawyer  prof. Franco Ciufo, Vice Delegate for Lazio, ANCCI’s Councillor  and Professor of Law of European Union at the Link Campus University.

    Numerous speakers, including the current President of the National Association of former students of Nunziatella Alessandro Ortis,  the Prince Don  Pierluigi Brancia di Apicena and the Vice President of Link Campus University who brought greetings of the Honourable President  Vincenzo Scotti.

    The Vice  Delegation  of Rome was also represented by the  Chancellor Fabrizio Ratto-Vaquer and  the Treasurer Antonio Badolati.

    Prince Alfonso Maria Giuseppe Alberto of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Count of Caserta (Caserta March 28, 1841- May 26, 1934) was the third son of King Ferdinand II and his second wife Archduchess Maria Theresa of Austria.

    During the invasion of Garibaldi  he was fighting on the front line alongside  his brothers Francesco and Luigi in the battle which took place between Capua and Gaeta to repel the invading army.

    At 7 am on February 14, 1861  the Prince had, along with the last sovereigns of the Two Sicilies, to leave Gaeta and go into exile.

    On the death of King Francis in 1894 he became Head of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies taking one the peerage  attributable to the Sovereign, “Duke of Castro”. The title is still used by the current Head of the Royal House and Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies.

     

     

  • St. Antonio Abate in Lazio vicarious Delegation

    Rome-18th January 2015. On last Sunday S. Antonio Abate was celebrated in a lot of towns of the territory of the Two Sicilies.

    In this important part of Italy a lot of towns are named after the Saint so it was also a town festival.

    Lazio vicarious Delegation recalled this occasion, as it is a more than ten-year-old tradition, in the church of Annunziata in Minturno where a lot of children came with their pets, their parents and grandparents.

  • The vicarious Delegation of Rome-New Year’s Holy Mass

    Rome-10th January 2015. The vicarious Delegation in Rome of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George on the occasion of the New Year planned a Holy Mass attended by Knights and Dames from Rome.

    The Holy Mass was conducted by the Very Reverend Monsignor Karel Kasteel, Ecclesiastic Grand  Cross, together with the Reverend Military Chaplain Don Rosario Scibilia in the Memorial Chapel at the Center “Alti Studi della Difesa”-Salviati Palace,   Vice Admiral Rinaldo Veri attending , he is the chairman of CASD and generously hosted the vicarious Delegation of Rome on the occasion of the important liturgical event.

    The vicarious Delegate of Rome Marquis Giorgio Mirti della Valle welcomed the Members of the Constantinian Order with the usual wishes for the New Year; he was surrounded by part of the Delegates’ council: the noblemen Fabrizio Ratto-Vaquer, Maurizio Bettoja and Vincenzo Giusti, Earl Vito Garzilli, Lieutenant Colonel Giuseppe De Lorenzo and Commander Arturo Cannavacciuolo.

    After the Mass on the same premises a feast was held at Foresteria della Lugara where Knights and Dames from Rome drank a toast to the New Year although everybody was sorry about the hitch that prevented S.A.S. prince Manfred Windisch-Graetz, new Delegate for Rome and Lazio of SMOCGS, from joining them in the beginning of the constantinian activities.

    Among the members, the attendance ought to be reported of Admiral Mario Tarabbo,  Earl and Countess Bontemps de Montreuil,  Avv. Figus-Diaz with his wife Donna Paola Naselli dei Duchi di Gela, Don Francesco Marigliano di Caracciolo, Barone Fabrizio di Giura and Baronessa Maria Francesca di Giura Grimani, noblewoman from Veneto, volunteers and friends of the Order.

    The vicarious Delegate of Rome, Marquis Mirti della Valle, reminded all the participants of the strong work of the Delegates in 2014 and informed that more and more charity activities would be planned in 2015. In addition, he asked all the volunteers, though they were not members of the Order yet or they were absent, to be available to support people in need in the Urbe with the several charity and aid activities of Rome vicarious Delegation.

    The Glorification of the Holy Cross that is the aim of the Constantinian Order of St.George is achieved nowadays  over all through the Christian help to people morally and financially in need as the very Reverends reminded during the Holy Mass.
