Lucca, 31st January 2016. In the Sanctuary of S. Gemma Galgani, the Delegation for Tuscany of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George celebrated a memorial Mass in honour of Blessed Maria Cristina di Savoia, known as “ The Holy Young Queen”, to commemorate the second anniversary of her Beatification.
Florence, 30th January 2016. On the eve of the third Liturgical Feast of Blessed Maria Cristina di Savoia, spouse of King Ferdinand II, Queen of the Kingdom of Two Sicilies, the Delegation for Tuscany of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George provided 67 meals to elderly needy persons of the Parish of San Michele in Rovezzano. This lunch was a symbol of solidarity and sharing which is in keeping with “The Hunger suffered by our Neighbour” project endorsed by the Grand Master and Duke of Castro, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies.
Livorno, 11th January 2016. The Delegation for Tuscany of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order organized a solidarity lunch in remembrance of the Epiphany that has just gone by for 40 needy elderly people of the Parish of S. Maria, Giulia and Francesco of Livorno. This lunch was a symbol of solidarity and sharing which is in line with “The Hunger suffered by our Neighbour” project endorsed by the Grand Master of the Constantinian Order, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro.
Livorno, 23rd December 2015. The Tuscan Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George organized a lunch for 160 poor and needy people. Also H.E. the Most Reverend Bishop of Livorno, Mons. Simone Giusti, Commander of Ecclesiastical Grace, served the lunch with the help of Sr. Raffaella Spiezio, the President of the Caritas Foundation, Mons. Placido Bevinetto Knight of Ecclesiastical Grace, the Vice Delegate of Tuscany Commander of Merit Edoardo Puccetti and Constantinian Dames and Knights. The Christmas lunch was a symbol of solidarity and sharing and is in keeping with the project “the hunger suffered by our neighbour” advocated by the Grand Master, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro.
Arezzo, 19th December 2015. Like on every month of 2015, the Knights of the Tuscan Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George delivered basic food products to the parish priest Don Luigi Menci of the Parish of Foiano della Chiana, thus meeting the objectives of the “hunger suffered by your neighbour” project strongly advocated by H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Master of the Constantinian Order and Duke of Castro.
Livorno, 13th December 2015. On the third day of Advent, His Most Reverend Excellency Simone Giusti, Bishop of Livorno, Ecclesiastical Commander, officially opened the Holy Door in the Cathedral of Livorno, ushering in the Holy year of the Jubilee of Mercy. The ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, the Tuscan Delegation, the Commander of Merit Edoardo Puccetti, Vice Delegate and the representative for the city of Livorno, Knight of Merit Amedeo Nannipieri, in addition to the Sovereign Military Order of Malta of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and the civilian and military authorities of the city of Livorno.
Livorno, 12th December 2015. A pre-Christmas Holy Mass was celebrated in the Cathedral of Livorno by His Most Reverend Excellency Simone Giusti, Bishop of Livorno, Ecclesiastical Commander, with the customary exchange of good wishes among the Knights and Dames of the Sacred Militia of the Tuscan Delegation.
Massa Carrara, 21 November 2015. On Saturday 21, Mons. Giulio Rossi presided over the liturgical celebrations of the ‘Virgo Fidelis’ (The Faithful Virgin), protector of the Corps of Carabinieri. The ceremony, held in the Cathedral of Massa, was attended by the Delegation of Tuscany of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George upon the invitation of the Provincial Corps Commander. Subsequent to the ceremonial event, a brief speech was given by the Commander for the Massa and Carrara region, Colonel Giovanni Semeraro, who had previously expressed his thanks to all the high dignitaries in attendance. Special thanks was also due to participants who had been directly involved in the event, among whom were the knights of the Delegation of Tuscany of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George.
Massa Carrara, 2 November 2015. Members of the Delegation of Tuscany of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George have presented Ms Andretta Rebecchi, Managing Director of the A.I.A.S. centre in Massa Carrara, a local branch of the “Italian Association for the Care of People with Spasticity”, with a cash donation to help with the cost of meeting the A.I.A.S. NGO’s needs.
Arezzo, 24 October 2015. In close partnership with a local branch of CARITAS, the Knights of the Delegation of Tuscany of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George, have handed over basic food supplies to Don Luigi Menci, Parish Priest at the church Chiesa della Collegiata of Foiano della Chiana, Arezzo. The initiative is part of an ongoing charitable project titled “The Hunger of our Neighbour” promoted by H.R.H. The Grand Master Prince Charles of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro.
