  • LOMBARDY: ACTIVITIES IN BRESCIA

    October 17th 2019 – Mr. Nicola Salvi and Mr. Stefano Villotta, by mandate of Prior Mons. Arnaldo Morandi, delivered essential goods and 200 kg of pasta to those in need who are assisted by Franciscan Friars of Mantua. Alessandro Sereni and Zammataro Biagio, Mantua volunteers, actively participated in the charity initiative.

    October 21st, 2019 – During a meeting between the new director of the diocesan Caritas of Brescia and Mons. Arnaldo Morandi and Mr. Maurizio Mirandola, the collaboration agreement between the diocesan Caritas and the Order was renewed and confirmed. On this occasion, 20 coupons worth € 50 each were delivered to the director of the Caritas.

  • SICILY: ACTIVITIES OF SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER

    The inauguration ceremony of the municipal building of S.Caterina Villarmosa took place in the presence of the highest provincial authorities, including the president of the Sicily region, Nello Musumeci. The Constantinian Order was represented by Mr. Michele Antonio Tramontana and Mr. Giuseppe Balsamo

    On September 25th Mr. Salerno and Mr. Cacioppo handed the priest of the parish, Don Rino Randazzo, the supplies for the month of September at the parish of Maria Santissima Annunziata in Castelvetrano.

    On September 27th, Mr. Pier Francesco Mistretta, Mr. Antonio Fundarò and Mr. Antonio Vitiello delivered products for young children, baby food, milk and diapers to Bishop Giordano, Archpriest of Alcamo.

    On October 4th, some Knights of the delegation took part in the solemn Eucharistic celebration at the parish Santa Maria La Stella, which sanctioned the official beginning of the ministry of the new priest Don Emanuele Nicotra. An exceptional delivery of pasta, tomato sauce, flour, oil and other food products took place during the afternoon, too.

    On October 16th, the first distribution of the project “Briciole di Salute” took place in Monreale.

    The vice deputy delegate offered to Father Giovanni Vitale, director of the diocesan archives of Monreale, a piece of furniture containing the precious documents of Archbishop Saverio Ferina, former director of archives. The donation was made on October 16th, 2019.

  • NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: HOLY MASS IN MEMORY OF MARIA SOPHIE OF BOURBON AND OF FERDINAD IV

    On October 10th, 2019, the Knights, Dames and volunteers of the Honor Guard of the Holy Order gathered in prayer at the Basilica of Santa Chiara in Naples for a Holy Mass in memory of Queen Maria Sophie of Bourbon and of King Ferdinand IV. Soldiers of the King’s First Regiment, a cultural recreation association, also participated in the celebration.

  • TUSCANY: THE PROJECT “CITTA’ CARDIOPROTETTE” IN PRATO

    Prato, October 12th, 2019 – the Tuscan delegation, headed by the Vice Delegate, the Vice Prior and the representative of the Province of Prato, delivered to the Provincial Commander of the Police, Colonel Marco Grandini, a new automatic defibrillator, which will be used at the Carabinieri station in Jolo for the benefit of the entire community. The donation was made in collaboration with the non-profit organization “Regalami un sorriso”, administered by Piero Giacomelli.

  • LIGURIA: VISIT TO THE SHIP “AMMIRAGLIO MAGNAGHI”

    The Ligurian delegation was invited to visit the white hydroceographic ship “Ammiraglio Magnaghi”. The Delegate Giovanni Chersola and Dr. Luca Cibin were received by the Commander, Captain Roberto Rossini and Lieutenant Marco Danieletto: the latter illustrated the important underwater exploration campaigns carried out by the ship for the safety of sailors and for the surveillance of our seas. He also focused on the importance of the respect for the marine and terrestrial environment and on some cultural initiatives developed by the Delegation, thanks to the collaboration with the Alla Collina Verde Environmental Association in the Mediterranean. An interesting dialogue has been launched, which could be the precursor of new initiatives in favor of young people and their training.

  • LOMBARDY: COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE ORDER AND THE CARITAS OF BRESCIA

    Travagliato, October 3rd, 2019 – On October 3rd, Mr. Paolo Tarallo, with Pietro Santacroce, Maurizio Caserta and Giuseppe Scolaro, through Mons. Arnaldo Morandi, Prior of Lombardy, provided a large amount of food to the Caritas of Travagliato. The food has been entrusted to the pastor Mario Metelli in order to meet the needs of several families assisted by the Caritas.

  • Volume “Orders of Chivalry of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies”

    We are pleased to inform that a fundraising has been launched to support the institutional activities promoted by the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, following the presentation of the second edition of the volume “Orders of Chivalry of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies”, an event aimed at spreading knowledge of the history of the chivalric orders of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies, of which the Constantinian Order is part.

    From October 9th, it is possible to donate an unrequited contribution of 130,00 Euros and receive a copy in Italian of the second edition of the volume “Orders of the Knights of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies” by H.E. the Ambassador Don Antonio Benedetto Spada.

    Given the limited edition of the volume, we advise all interested Knights and Dames to book their desired number of copies to the following email address: volume@ordine-costantiniano.it. Bank transfers must be completed by following the instructions given in response to the booking e-mail. Reservations will be managed according to the date of receipt until availability is exhausted.

    The Chancellery will provide additional information in the upcoming weeks regarding the publication of the English version of the volume.

  • Presentation of the Second Edition of the Volume “The Orders of Chivalry of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies”

    Rome, October 8th, 2019 – On October 8th the presentation of the second edition of the volume “The Orders of Chivalry of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies” by H.E. Ambassador Antonio Benedetto Spada took place at the Chamber of Deputies, in the presence of H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Grand Master, and of H.E. Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino, Proto-deacon of the Holy Roman Church and Grand Prior. Among the speakers who attended the event, we mention H.E. The President of the State Council Filippo Patroni Griffi, H.E. Ambassador Umberto Vattani, Professor Michele Giuseppe Vietti and Dr. Mario Sechi.

    After the presentation of the volume, a vin d’honneur was held at the Sala della Sacrestia. The Grand Chancellor and the Grand Treasurer of the Order, the members of the Magistral Judicial Council and the Heraldic Magistral Commission, the Delegates, the Vice Delegates, as well as several personalities from the diplomatic, military and civil world attended.

  • NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: HRH THE GRAND PREFECT IN PIETRARSA

    On October 5th, commemorations were held at the National Museum of Pietrarsa, in memory of the 180th anniversary of the inauguration of the peninsula’s first railway, which was made by Ferdinand II of Bourbon.

    HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect of the Constantinian Order, visited the Pietrarsa Museum and was accompanied by Marquise Federica De Gregorio Cattaneo, the General Director of the Fondazione Ferrovie dello Stato, Ing. Luigi Francesco Cantamessa Armati, the museum’s director, Oreste Orvitti, the president of the ENEA research center in Portici, Dr. Aldo Parisi, the head of the philatelic sector of the Italian post office, Dr. Maria Grazia Paris, who have made a special obliteration for the occasion, and by some Knights of the Order.

    During the visit to the various pavilions of the Museum, the caretakers recalled the history of the place and described future projects for the historical and cultural improvement of the site, which has reached an international importance.
