San Gottardo, Monday, 1 August, 2016 – The first meeting of Representatives for the Province of Lombardy took place in the Parish of San Gottardo in Brescia. Present was the Grand Inquisitor, H.E. Dott. Alberto Lembo, who introduced the agenda and instructed all on the historical and current reality of the Constantinian Order, providing the Provincial Representatives with interesting news and instructions on how to properly conduct their functions. Also present were Vice Delegate Nobile Dott. Giuseppe Rizzani, the Prior for the Delegations representing Brescia and Mantova Mons. Arnaldo Morandi, Representative for the city of Bergamo Dott.ssa Veronica Grillo, Representative for the city of Lecco Dott. Luigi Rogliano, Representative for the city of Lodi Dott. Maurizio Pappalardo, Representative for Monza and Brianza, Ing. Giuseppe Perego, Representative for the city of Pavia Comm. Vittorio Barella, Representative for the city of Sondrio Nobile Avv. Francesco Alessi Longa, representative or the city of Varese Mr. Giovanni Mattei. The representative for the city of Cremona, Mrs. Daniela Triboldi Rossi, was absent with justification. The day progressed in a climate of cordiality and cooperation and all expressed the desire to serve the Constantinian Order in the best manner possible, in accordance with the provisions and demeanor that must continue to characterize the members and the activities of the Order. The Grand Inquisitor actively participated in the discussions, encouraging the clarification of several complex passages. He stated that he was certain all would work serenely and profitably and wished all the best of luck saying that he would also be available. The meeting adjourned following prayers and benediction.

PISTOIA, 14 JUNE 2016 – DONATION OF BASIC SUPPLIES
Pistoia, 14 June 2016 – At the invitation of Don Piero Vannelli of the Diocese of Pistoia, the Knights of the Toscana Delegation presented the Parish of San Biagio in Cascheri with a donation of essential items. This commendable initiative was promoted by Knights Pierluigi Pucci and Daniele Romanelli, under the leadership of Edoardo Puccetti, Vice Vicar, and is part of the project “The Hunger of our Neighbor”, sponsored by the Grand Master of the Constantinian Order, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro. -
COSENZA, 1 MAY – DONATION OF TOYS
Cosenza, 1 May 2016. The Delegation from Calabria donated toys to the non-profit Association “Stella Cometa” to be given to the less fortunate children of the territory.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Lions Club of Cosenza “Castello Sveva”, as part of the program “The Spring of the Needy” and joins the numerous other donations provided throughout Calabria by the Delegation as part of the Order’s vaster program “The Hunger of our Neighbor”. -
NAPLES, 11 JUNE 2016 – CONCERT FOR NAPLES, CONCERT FOR CHARLES
Naples, Saturday 11 June 2016, at 1800 hours, The Royal and Pontifical Basilica of San Francesco da Paola hosted a mandolin concert organized by the Naples and Campania Delegation, in collaboration with the Italian Mandolin Federation.
On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of King Charles III Bourbon Two Sicilies, the Delegate, Marchese Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli and President of the Association, Antonio Di Mauro, offered the Knights and Dames of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George and the people of Naples a celebration concert titled “A Concert for Naples, A Concert for Charles”, performed by the Mandolin School of Ripalimosani, pride of the community of the Molise. The concert was presented by Patrizio Rispo and enjoyed tremendous success.
An exceptional guest was Mrs. Yumiko Seki, First Mandolin for the Plectrum Orchestra of Tokyo. -
NOTO AND ACIREALE – PROJECT “NEW CRUMBS OF HEALTH”
Noto and Acireale, Friday, 17 June 2016 – The Vice Delegate for Sicily, Nobile Dott. Antonio di Janni visited the diocesan dining hall of San Corrado in Noto, managed by Brother Rino who, together with other volunteers, cares for approximately 50 needy each day. The Delegation presented the center with food items for the dining hall and included it in its list of recipients for the Project “New Crumbs of Health”, ensuring their autonomy for approximately one month.
In the coming months the Grand Prefect, H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, will visit the center and together with the Bishop of Noto, M.R.E. Mons. Antonio Staglianò, will develop an aid program for the poor of the diocese.
On that same day, the Vice Delegate also went to Acireale where he presented the Bishop, M.R.E. Mons. Antonino Raspanto with the diploma of Ecclesiastical Knight Commander of Grace. Together they then visited the San Giovanni Bosco Center, including it in the project “New Crumbs of Health”. The center is a community at the service of the poor that has been welcoming single mothers and families in difficulty since 1933, providing comfort and care to the less fortunate as well as training lessons, laboratories and courses to facilitate employment opportunities. -
REGGIO CALABRIA – “THE HUNGER OF OUR NEIGHBOR”
Reggio Calabria, 14 and 15 June – In June the Delegation of Calabria once again provided its support to the program “The Hunger of our Neighbor” with two substantial contributions of food donated by the Esselunga S.p.A.: the first donation went to Don Nino Russo, the priest of the Santa Maria delle Neve Church; the second to Monsignor Giacomo D’Anna, who received the Delegation, represented by Vice Delegate Dott. Aurelio Badolati, Knight Commander of Merit with star, in the historic Parish of “San Paolo alla Rotonda”. -
CRUMBS FOR HEALTH
Sicily, July 2016 – The Sicilian Delegation is always very active with the program Crumbs for Health. The program was inaugurated in Palermo on July 18 and the first delivery of needed items (diapers, baby food and biscuits) for children of disadvantaged families aged 0 to 3 years took place in the Church of S. Francesco di Paola.
The distribution of baby products continued in the premises next to the Constantinian Church of S. Maria degli Agonizzanti, under the guidance of the Archbishop of Monreale, H.E. Mons. Michele Pennisi, Prior of the Delegation. The delegation also organized a collection of food products, lasting twelve hours, in a shopping center in Milazzo, province of Messina. By the end of the day they had collected 120 liters of milk, approximately 500 kilos of pasta and other food items to be donated to the needy. -
EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY FOR THE DISABLED – A NEW PROJECT OF THE SICILY DELEGATION
Palermo, Wednesday, 27 July, 2016 – A delegation of the Constantinian Order consisting of Vice Delegate Nobile dott. Antonio di Janni, Knight Grand Cross of Grace, and dott. Vincenzo Nuccio, Knight Commander of Merit, was received in the headquarters of the VI Lancers Regiment of Aosta in Palermo by Regimental Commander Colonel Spartaco Tassinari. In the course of the meeting the colonel explained how a series of equine assisted therapy sessions had been conceived and implemented to help disabled children improve their psychomotor functions. The children were helped by members of the military, psychologists and by qualified professional personnel. During the meeting they also discussed collaboration between the Sicilian Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St, George and the equestrian unit of the regiment to organize equine therapies for disabled youth, assisted by the delegation. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Vice Delegate presented a medal of the Sicilian Delegation in commemoration of the meeting. -
FESTIVITIES OF SANTA CRISTINA
Santa Cristina Gela, Saturday, 16 July, 2016 – A solemn Eucharistic celebration was held in the Diocese of Piana degli Albanesi, presided by Mons. Filippo Sarullo, Priest for the Cathedral of Palermo, concelebrated with the parish priest, Father Porfilio Traficante, to initiate the week of festivities in honor of Santa Cristina, the patron saint of the Sicilian town of Santa Cristina Gela. Present were the Mayor of Santa Cristina Gela, the Mayor of the town of Belmonte Mezzagno, representatives of the local religious confraternities, and a delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. Led by the Vice Delegate, the holy remains were brought from the Cathedral of Palermo where they are normally preserved in a silver urn of the sixteenth century. They were welcomed at the entrance of the small town and carried in procession into the church. During the homely Mons. Sarullo also paid tribute to the victims of the train accident in Puglia and the attack in Nice. The holy remains were returned to Palermo on July 25th. (more…) -
ALESSANDRIA – “ONLUS CONSTINTINIAN TROPHY”
Alessandria, 26 June 2016 – The first edition of the ONLUS Constintinian Trophy was held at the Golf Club of Villa Carolina, one of the eight most important golf clubs in Italy. The event was sponsored by the Alessandria and Asti delegations and was included in the official calendar of the Italian Golf Federation. The initiative enjoyed tremendous success among the public and promoted the image of the Order. Over 100 golfers participated in the event, including several Knights and Dames of the Constintinian Order. All profits were donated for the purchase of twenty pediatric oxymeters. Awards were presented to the winners by the Representative of the City of Alessandria and Asti, Dott. Alessandro Medici, Knight of Merit with star. This event was a tangible gesture of solidarity toward the less fortunate and an opportunity to raise awareness and appreciation of our Order throughout the territory.
