NAPLES AND CAMPANIA: CELEBRATIONS IN HONOR OF SAINT ANNA
Savignano Irpino, July 26th, 2019 – A group of Knights and Dames of the delegation of Naples and Campania attended the solemn celebrations, deeply felt by the Knights themselves and by the many faithful who came, in honor of Saint Anna, the Patron of Savignano Irpino. The religious function, followed by a procession through the streets of the city, was celebrated by H.E. Mons. Sergio Melillo, bishop of the diocese of Ariano Irpino – Lacedonia.

PIEDMONT: DONATION IN CUNEO
On the afternoon of August 2nd, a needy family of the area received many products. The donation, organized by Mr. Franza Erik of the Cuneo representation, is part of the project “Briciole di Salute”.

CALABRIA: THE DAY OF CHRISTIANITY
Canna (CS), August 10th, 2019 – The Calabrian delegation met in Canna to honor the Venerable Chapel under the title of Sant’Antonio Abate of Vienna.
The event’s goal was to spread awareness about the aristocratic chapel belonging to the Bruni-Campolongo family; it was a research work carried out by Mr. Roberto Campolongo on religious sources contained in a short booklet that will be published soon. On this occasion, the delegation of Calabria, led by the vice delegate, showed its proximity to the territory, visiting the historic center of the city of Oriolo and in particular the Duomo. Then, the sumptuous castle of Oriolo was visited. After the visit to Oriolo Castle, the mayor of Oriolo and the vice delegate decided to plan a path of spiritual growth and of cultural and historical promotion of the village, through the organisation of a second “day of Christianity”, scheduled for August 10th, 2020 in Oriolo, where a debate will take place on local history and Christianity, accompanied by a concert and enriched by a buffet.
Afterwards, the knights and dames of the Order marched in a short procession in the historic center of Canna and were then welcomed by Father Pierfrancesco Diego.
The residents of Canna, the CISOM delegation of Cosenza (Italian Order of Malta Relief Corps) and other local officials attended.

LOMBARDY: SUPPLY OF FOOD TO THE BRESCIA-SAN POLO PARISH CHURCH
Brescia, August 10th, 2019 – The collaboration between the Order and the diocesan Caritas continues. The secretary of the Brescia representation, Mr. Maurizio Mirandola, with Mr. Bartolomeo Bonafede and the decorated Pietro Santacroce and Giuseppe Scolaro, proceeded to the acquisition and the delivery of food that will cover the needs of many needy families of the parish of Brescia-San Polo.

CALABRIA: THE DELEGATION’S SUMMER ACTIVITIES
A group of knights and volunteers donated several products in favour of the poor families of the community at Sant ‘Andrea Apostolo church in Parghelia in the presence of Bishop Giuseppe Florio.
The following days, they spent a wonderful evening in the old Porto Santa Venera, now known as Vibo Marina. The afternoon began with the Eucharistic celebration at the sanctuary of Maria SS. of the Rosary of Pompei, presided by Bishop Saverio Di Bella. Subsequently, an excellent concert of classical music took place. The day was organized by Mr. Giuseppe Spera, commander of the Coast Guard of Vibo Valentia Marina.

LIGURIA: THE DELEGATION’S SUMMER ACTIVITIES
The delegate of Liguria and other knights were welcomed by Colonel Riccardo SCIUTO, Provincial Commander of Genoa at the San Giuliano fort. Colonel Sciuto received the silver medal of merit.
After receiving an official invitation by the French Consul, knights and dames of the Ligurian delegation gathered for the usual ceremony which summarizes the activities carried out during this first part of the year at the fabulous Villa Molié in Genoa. The delegate also recalled the last recommendations of the Grand Prior, as well as the recent provisions of the Grand Magisterium concerning the statutes. During the meeting, the program of initiatives planned for the the upcoming year was finalized.
As part of the charity project Briciole di salute, some representatives of the Ligurian delegation brought several food aid to the canteen held in Genoa Prà by the Missionary Sisters of Charity of Calcutta in favour of the poorest people.
