After the investiture ceremony that took place at Basilica Patriarcale in Venice last year, on June 15th, some Knights of the delegation was received by His Eminence Msgr. Moraglia. He was given his certificate as Ecclesiastic Knight Grand Cross and as Prior of the delegation.
During the meeting the Order’s main activities were discussed.
Portoferraio, June, 17th 2018. Some Knights and Dames of the Tuscan delegation donated lots of packages of food to Father Gianni Mariani, President of the local Caritas. Needy families of the community will be given these packages.
June, 13th 2018. Some Knights and Dames of the delegation of Calabria decided to organize and share a charitable lunch with the needy people of the town at the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Candelora. The delegation collaborated with the local caritas and another charitable Association and prepared a lot of meals for 150 people. The afternoon was devoted to deep reflections, in the presence of the Vice delegate and Msgr. Canizzo, Vice Prior.
On June, 12th a wonderful concert took place at Maria SS degli Agonizzanti church. It was organized by the Sicilian delegation and was directed by Mr. Giacchino. Young musicians had the chance to perform and received a thank-you letter at the end of the show.
The delegation of Liguria donated some packages of food to the nuns of Santa Chiara, who daily assist the needy people of the community of Porto Maurizio.
On June, 7th a lot of packages of pasta, milk and nappies were given to Father Bernardo, who is the caritas supervisor in S. Martino delle Scale.
On June, 11th the Vice delegate and Msgr. Grimaldi donated 16kilos of fish, nappies, baby food and pasta to “Missione Speranza e Carità”. Children were also given some plushes and really appreciated this act of charity.
On June 13th, the Vice delegate and other volunteers donated nappies, milk and baby food to 50 families in Maria SS degli Agonizzanti church in Monreale.
On June, 18th Father Alberto Giardina welcomed some Knights of the Sicilian delegation who donated baby food, nappies and biscuits at Chiesa del S. Cuore in Trapani.
On June, 21st the Vice Delegate and another Knight donated some packages of food in Agrigento.
On June, 22nd the Vice Delegate donated some packages of food and other products in Piana degli Albanesi.
On June, 22nd a donation took place in Acireale as well.
On June, 27th the second distribution of the month took place in Monreale.
June, 9th 2018. The delegation of Calabria donated some packages of food to Father Giuseppe Saraceno in Pellegrina di Bagnara (RC).
Pistoia, June 8th 2018. On the occasion of the Special Olympic games, organised in Pistoia from June 4th to June 9th, the Tuscan delegation offered a defibrillator and a toolkit for young patients to sport Assessor of Pistoia. These devices will be located in the school camp. The donation is part of the project “Città Cardioprotetta”.
On Sunday, 3rd the delegation of Triveneto participated at two solemn liturgies for the feast of Corpus Christi. Some Knights went to Venice at St. Mark Cathedral where H.E. Msgr. Moraglia presided the ceremony.
Other Knights of the Order were in Trieste at St. Giusto Cathedral. H.E. Msgr. Crepaldi, Archbishop of Trieste, who presided the ceremony and was very happy when he saw many Constantinian Knights attending the ceremony. The Prior of the delegation of Triveneto, the General Vicar of Trieste diocese and Father Di Stefano attended as well. In both cases, at the end of the liturgies, there were two processions.
