    Bagnoli, 9 July 2015. The Delegate for  Campania Marquis  Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli went to the Church of Santa Lucia a Mare where, on behalf of the Delegation,  offered  to the parish priest, Father Giuseppe Carmelo, a hundred pairs of trousers to give to the poor, receiving from Father Carmelo his best  thanks for all what the Order is able to do in favor of the Parish.

  • MEETING FOR A “WALK THROUGH THE ARCHITECTURE OF CHARLES OF BOURBON’S NAPLES”

    Naples, Friday 15 May 2015. At 6 p.m. at the Istituto di Cultura Meridionale in Via Chiatamone 63 (palazzo Arlotta), the Delegation of Naples and Campania of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George organised a meeting with the Emeritus Professors of Architecture, Massimo Rosi and Aldo Loris Rossi, who will “accompany” the public “on a stroll through the architecture of Charles of Bourbon’s Naples”.

    Naples, 24 April 2015. A fundraising evening for the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George took place at the Circolo della Staffa, with over two hundred and fifty guests attending.

    During the event, organised by the Delegation of Naples and Campania, the Delegate, Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, delivered the sincere greetings of the Grand Master H.R.H Prince Charles of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro; of the Grand Prefect of the Order, Don Augusto Ruffo di Calabria of the Princes of Scilla; of the Grand Chancellor H.R.H Princess Beatrice of Bourbon-Two Sicilies; and the President of the Region of Campania, Hon. Stefano Caldoro.

    A heartfelt thanks was made to Patrizio Rispo who, thanks to his customary attention towards themes of the “last”, organised the very enjoyable musical entertainment by the San Carlo Ensemble. Members of the Delegation of Campania and numerous guests were present.

    A warm welcome was extended from all the Knights and Ladies of the Order as well as the guests present, to Randa Ghattas, representative for one of the most important and prestigious Lebanese families, who expressed her feelings and sense of gratitude for the mission completed by the Delegation in Lebanon last month and for the words of the Delegate, Pierluigi Sanfelice.

  • PALM SUNDAY WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF H.R.H. PRINCESS BEATRICE OF BOURBON TWO SICILIES

    San Francesco da Paola, Sunday, March 29, 2015. The Delegation of Naples and Campania of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George celebrated the Palm Sunday at the Royal and Pontifical Basilica of San Francesco da Paola in  Plebiscito squre.

    The Procession of the Constantinian Knights and Dames with cape and gloves, closed by the Grand Chancellor H.R.H. Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, accompanied by the Delegate H.E.Marquis Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli,  started from the Basilica, crossed the Plebiscito square where, after reading the Gospel there was the Blessing of the olive’s Palms and branches.

    The Mass was celebrated by the Very Reverend Father Damiano M. La Rosa, of the Minimi and Prior of the Constantinian Delegation.

  • San Giorgio a Cremano: distribution of gift packs

    San Giorgio a Cremano – December 20, 2014. An important event for the distribution of gift packs to those who live in a state of strong economic difficulty. The Knight Ciro Di Giacomo, assisted by a group of his associates, provided for the collection of food, at supermarkets DECO of San Giorgio a Cremano and grocery stores of the Ciccarelli and Festante Groups.

    They were collected, pasta, rice, cereals, flour, long-life milk, baby food, biscuits and baby products, canned and dried vegetables.

    These packaged products have been distributed during a ceremony at the presence of our Delegate and the city authorities. The program was held with the meeting between the Marchese Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli and the mayor; the mayor of San Giorgio a Cremano Dott. Domenico Giorgiano, at the headquarters of the CAF association in Painter street  where there was a  greeting toast  followed by the distribution of  gift packs.

    San Giorgio a Cremano is a town of about 4 square kilometers, and a population density of 49,000 inhabitants resident. Its origins are in the ancient village of Cambrano where it  was built a church dedicated to Saint George, while another village of the town was developed around the Church of Santa Maria del Principio. In the second half of the 600 the two villages were joined  creating the city of San Giorgio a Cremano. The many devotees of St. George carried the statue in procession at the foot of the erupting Vesuvius to get its protection and have saved their city. Every year the feast of the lava commemorates the intercession of the saint.

    An area highly valued its past as resort where very beautiful and  important villas and palaces were built also  thanks to the presence not far of the Palace of Portici, where the Bourbon family spent her summers.

  • December 21, 2014, meeting between Knights and volunteers at Orta di Atella

    Orta di Atella – December 21, 2014.  At 17:30 ot was held – in the square outside the Diocesan Sanctuary of San Salvador da Horta, at  Orta di Atella – a meeting between some of our Knights and volunteers.

    The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Gaetano Franzese O.F.M.

    It has also taken place a training for the Knights and volunteers on the theme of “Poverty and Solidarity”, followed at 20.00  p.m. by a solidarity dinner for the less fortunate inhabitants  of Atella. The evening ended with a tombola.

    The dinner was offered by the Lawyer Pasquale Ragozzino, on behalf of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, which was attended by fifty indigent guests indigent; twenty-five volunteers from the Emergency Corps of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George belonging to  the Civil Protection of the City of Atella and the Secular Franciscan Order; Father Superior of the Convent of the Friars Minor, very Rev. Ferdinando Cimmaruta O.F.M.; and  the Rev. Gaetano Franzese O.F.M.

    There were also the Knight of Merit  Damiano Onorato and his wife, the Knight of Merit Antonello Amaddeo, the Knight of Merit Luigi De Angelis, the Knight Maurizio Barbato, the Attorney Pasquale Grasso and many others.

  • Assembly of Knights and Dames of the Delegation of Campania

    Napoli, Saturday January 31, 2015 –  This year, as usually it  has taken place the Meeting of the Knights and Dames of the  Delegation of Campania of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. They were present, among the many -the members of the Board of Giulio del  Vaglio, Carlo Guardascione, Donatella and Valeria Pessetti, Raimondo Zampaglione and the Councelors  ad acta Diego Napolitano and  Giulio Rolando – Januaria Imperiali of  Francavillla, Marco Crisconio, Fulvia Filangieri de’Candida Gonzaga, Antonio Mottola di Amato, Maurizio Scoppa, Luciana de Luca, Francesco and Adelaide Giusso del Galdo, Vincenzo Scarano Ussani, Diego Vivarelli von Lobstein, Eugenio Donadoni, Emiddio de Franciscis, Diego Boscarelli, Pasquale Manzo, Pasquale de Angelis, Giovanni Salemi and many others.

    The short but dense report of  the Delegate Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli has brought to a live debate, from which they some interesting proposals emerged:

    Paola Rolando took the floor first and has highlighted the  will of some Dames and friends of the Order to organize twice a month a meeting of three hours (from 15.30 to 18.30) in the halls of the Basilica of S. Francesco da Paola with children aged from six to ten, children of immigrants; the cycle, should have an  emblematic title “Meet to grow together ” to increase the knowledge of the Italian language, civics, and why not, the pleasure of playing together.

    Luigi Andreozzi, then, proposed the establishment of a new  service,  after the creation of a multifunctional clinic in 2011; he imagines the creation of a “door” as a  point  where  supply and demand for job can meet (jobs such as driver, concierge, personal security officer).

    Giuliano Capecelatro di  Morrone has instead proposed to create a  “Cultural Department” to take part to the events planned in the city to recover more and more the cultural traditions of Napoli.

    The Mayor of Ciorlano Mauro Di Stefano proposed the birth of a literary competition to be organized in the schools toawaken consciousness even in small villages on the border between Campania and Molise.

    The Very Reverend Don Luigi Castiello first wished the Delegation to be able to pervade more and more the whole  Campania with its action, and then announced the organization of four concerts, which will be held in the name o the Order on March 30, June 30, September 30 and December 30 at the Gerolamini buildings..

    Pio Tartaglia  pointed out how important is to increase the  awareness and interconnection between the Knights of the Delegation, including through aggregating moments and occasions.

    Flavia Fumo proposed finally the Institute of Culture of the South in Chiatamone street  as the seat for the activities of Constantinian Delegation, obtaining the immediate approval of its President Gennaro Famiglietti who was present at S. Francesco da Paola.

  • Full day for the Delegation of Naples and Campania

    Naples – 9th January 2015. Friday 9th January was a full day for the Delegation of Naples and Campania. In the morning the first “Solidarity Day” was held at the nursery school “Costanza di Chiaromonte” run by the cooperative “Il Ricco”.

    The Delegate of Naples and Campania of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St.George Marquis Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli joined the event in order to confirm the support of the Order to the officially recognized schools that are in straits and he especially thanked the Chairwoman Antonella Rubertucci.

    This event witnessed the mobilization of the Knights and the Meritorious Donors of the Order for the 2-6 year old children who were given toys, a toy library, a lot of educational material and more than a hundred bags of sweets with the logo of the Order “the Cross”, all this excited the children. Furthermore, at the entrance of the toy library a stone tablet with the Constantinian Cross was set and was blessed by parson Don Elio De Podo. At the end of the event the Chairwoman Antonella Rubertucci thanked the Order for the offers and fixed the second day of solidarity. The mayor Micaela Fanelli, the members of the local government and the teachers of the school joined the event.

    A note of fun was the children’s moving naivety, they heard of the Knights oncoming visit and thought they would meet men with armour and on horseback! At the end of the meeting the children sang the traditional song welcoming the town of Riccia while the Delegate signed the guest book on a precious mid-nineteenth-century find.

    Marquis Sanfelice gave great importance to this meaningful visit full of ideas promising developments of this friendship and cooperation.

    On 9th January afternoon the marquis Sanfelice di Bagnoli went to Sepino, a town at the borders of Campania invited by the mayor Filomena Zeoli to join the mass conducted by the Archbishop of Lucera, H.E. Francesco Zarillo in honour of the Patron Saint Cristina.

    Before the Holy Mass at 4p.m. the “Festa delle Candele” was held with the distribution of the symbolical “Cartoccio”, then at 4.30p.m the authorities were welcomed in the boardroom. St.Cristina’s celebration is a yearly really appreciated event by the inhabitants of Sepino.

    On this occasion also the mayors of the surrounding towns meet to celebrate the Saint. The mayors of the union of the towns of Valle del Tammaro with their gonfalons were present that is to say: besides the Mayor Filomena Zeoli- the mayor of Cercemaggiore Vincenza Testa, the mayor of Cercepiccola Michele Simiele, the mayor of San Giuliano del Sannio Angelo Codagnone, the mayor of Mirabello Sannitico Luciano di Biase, the president of Campobasso province Rosario de Matteis and the president of Molise region: Paolo Frattura.

     

     

     

    The event was attended also by the representatives of the Order of Malta such as Professor Alberto Bochicchio and Mr Rocco Sileo, of the Holy Sepulchre such as the headmaster Carmine De Camillis, of the Cisom of Matera area, the Bojano military police force commander Michele De Chiara, the commander and the policemen of the police station in Sepino, some rangers of the forestry station, the commander and some traffic wardens from Sepino.

    After the Mass a reception was held in the town hall attended by all the guests and the mayor gave the Delegate Marquis Sanfelice a copy of a IV A.C.-century point of a spear from the Samnite age as a memory of the meeting.

  • VISIT TO NAPLES

    (Naples). A great return to Naples on Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd of November for HRH the Prince Charles of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies Duke of Castro, Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George’s.
    Two days full of cultural and humanitarian activities for HRH the Prince Charles of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies and the Costantinian Order.
    To welcome him went the Delegate of Naples and the Region Campania for the Order: Don Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli.
    At 6 pm on Friday the 21st of November, the Prince made his way to the Chiesa di Santa Chiara to honor King Francesco II grave. This year will recur the 120th anniversary from his death, occurred in Arco, in Tyrol, on the 27th of December 1894.
    On Saturday the 22nd of November, at 11 – His Royal Height met the Colonel Valentino Scotillo, Captain of the Military School “Nunziatella”, which has always been close to the heart of the Royal Bourbon House.
    At 11.30 the Prince Charles attended Mass at the Chiesa di San Ferdinando of Palazzo, celebrated with Special Rite by the Rector of the Church – the Grande Reverendo Monsignor Pasquale Silvestri.
    His Eminence Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino, Gran Prior of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George, took part to the function too.
    The humanitarian appointment that saw involved HRH the Prince and Grand Master, together with the Gran Prior Martino and the Delegate Sanfelice took place at the Mensa Caritatevole of the Chiesa di Santa Lucia a Mare.
    They visited the premises and they met the poor and people in need that participated to the breakfast organized for them by the Delegation of Naples and Campania.
