  • SICILY: BRICIOLE DI SALUTE AND DEFIBRILLATOR DELIVERY

    On January 28th Mr. Antonino Amato (representative for the city of Catania and province), accompanied by Mr. Cristofaro Arena, Mr. Giuseppe Longo and Mr. Massimo Putrino visited the Acireale Association “Madonna della Tenda di Cristo” and for the occasion delivered food and sweets

    On January 25th, the vice delegate handed over to Mr. Alfonso Lo Zito 12 plates for the defibrillator that had been delivered last August in Agrigento for Madagascar. Mr. Lo Zito is responsible for the “Let’s help Madagascar” project of the Rotary Club of Agrigento. The donation of the plates, which will be delivered next spring by Mr. Lo Zito, was supported by the project Africa Onlus, where the delegation of Sicily collaborates in sending aid to Africa and helping Africans in Sicily.

  • TUSCANY: PREPARATORY MEETING FOR THE NEW KNIGHTS

    San Martino in Freddana, January 25th, 2019 – Father Rodolfo Rossi, Vice Prior of the delegation, organized and led a preparatory meeting for the new Knights who will participate in the solemn ceremony of investiture scheduled for February 3rd, 2019 at the Sanctuary of Madonna delle Grazie in Montenero (Livorno). At the end of the meeting, the Vice Delegate, Mr. Edoardo Puccetti, also gave the letters of appointment to the new Knights.

  • SICILY: BRICIOLE DI SALUTE IN MONREALE- II DISTRIBUTION JANUARY

    On January 23rd the second distribution  of the month for early childhood was carried out at Maria SS degli Agonizzanti church in Monreale. The donation is part of the project “Briciole di Salute”. Mrs. Daniela Prestigiacomo, Mrs. Sonia Lo Monaco and Mrs. Antonella Lo Zito helped delivering the products.

     

  • PIEDMONT AND VALLE D’AOSTA: HOLY LITURGY IN ALESSANDRIA

    On January 21st, the Representative for the cities of Alessandria and Asti, Mrs. Simona Delfino, organized a Mass at the Cathedral of Alessandria in honor of Blessed Maria Cristina of Savoy in the presence of some Knights of the Order. Father Augusto Piccoli officiated  the liturgy where the Knight’s prayer was also read.

  • SICILY: BRICIOLE DI SALUTE IN S. MARTINO DELLE SCALE AND IN CASTELVETRANO

    On January 18th, some products for early childhood were delivered as usual to the Caritas of the Benedictine Abbey of S. Martino delle Scale. The vice delegate handed over to the head of the Caritas, Father Bernardo, diapers and other products for the children assisted by the Benedictine monks.

    The products for early childhood were also delivered to the representative of the parish of the Caritas in Castelvetrano. The donation is part of the project “Briciole di Salute”.

  • TUSCANY: DONATION FOR THE PROJECT “ALBAROSA”

    Lucca, January 21st, 2019 – The vice delegate, together with the Vice Prior and the Secretary of the delegation, donated some basic food to the President of the Anti-Violence Center Luna Onlus Association, Ms. Daniela Caselli, which offers help and refuge to women and children victims of violence. The donation is part of the Tuscan delegation’s new project “Albarosa”, born in support of women victims of violence.

  • SICILIA: LA CASA DEL SORRISO IN MONREALE

    On January 18th, the Vice Delegate, accompanied by a volunteer, Mrs Lia Giangreco, delivered many products for early childhood to the community “La Casa del Sorriso” in Monreale. The structure, which has been operating in the territory for 50 years and is headed by the Capuchin Father Francesco Biondolillo, hosts 30 children. Clothes, diapers, pasta and shirts were delivered.

    Rooted in the territory of Monreale, “La casa del sorriso” celebrates the 50th anniversary of its foundation. Father Clemente Calogero Giadone and Father Francesco Biondolillo’s efforts in favor of children in difficulty allowed the realization of a program whose main values are solidarity and legality. Today our Order has approached this reality with the intention of supporting it through the project “Briciole di Salute”  After the meeting between the Vice Delegate and Father Biondolillo, the Sicilian delegation has begun to collaborate with the structure. The first intervention of the delegation took place thanks to Dr. Simona D’Alba, dentist, who visited the children of the structure and gave a class on dental prevention.

  • CAMPANIA: SOLEMN MASS AT THE BASILICA OF SAINT CLARE

    On January 18th 2019, the Knights and Ladies of the Guardia d’Onore celebrated with a mass the figure of King Charles of Bourbon, the first King of the Bourbon dynasty. The liturgy took place at the Basilica of Saint Clare (Basilica di Santa Chiara). In the homily, the parish priest of the Basilica exalted the Christian figure of King Charles and his innumerable charitable works, which were carried out thanks to his deep Christian faith. The association “Primo Reggimento Re”, composed of many volunteer experts of military ceremonies, also participated in the eucharistic event.

  • LIGURIA: BRICIOLE DI SALUTE IN IMPERIA

    Corrado Milintenda e Rocco Bencivenga presso il Convento dei Cappuccini di Porto Maurizio

    In the convent of the Capuchin Fathers in Imperia, Maurizio Corrado Milintenda and Rocco Bencivenga, two active volunteers of the Ligurian Delegation, donated many food to the friars, who daily serve at the canteen of the poors. The Delegation wishes to continue supporting this charitable work carried out by the Capuchins who are taking care of the historic Piazza Roma Convent.

  • PIEDMONT AND VALLE D’AOSTA: BRICIOLE DI SALUTE IN TURIN

    Turin, January 17th, 2019 – The Representative of the city of Turin, Mr. Massimo Trasforini, organized a collection of food products in order to donate them to the canteen of the poor located in the Association “The Eucharistic Cenacle of the Transfiguration” in Turin, founded by Father Adriano Gennari, who was present to thank the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. This donation is part of the project “Briciole di Salute”. The Vice Delegate also attended the donation and was accompanied by some knights and dames.
