  • ASSIGNMENT OF THE VICAR DELEGATE AND PRIOR FOR THE REGION CALABRIA

    In the Church of St. Giorgio al Corso, in  the presence of the Delegate of

    Calabria, the  Noble Gianpietro Sanseverino of the  Barons of Marcellinara, of numerous Knights and Benefactors of the Order of Calabria and of the Delegations of the nearest regions Sicilia and Campania,  it was held the  assignment ceremony  of the Vicar  Delegate, Dr. Aurelio Badolati, Comm. of Merit, and of the Prior, the very Reverend Monsignor Antonio Morabito, Canon of the Chapter of  the Cathedral of ReggioCalabria and Knight of Ecclesiastical Grace.

    After the ceremony, the new  Vicar Delegate,  visibly touched, thanked highlighting  the role of the Delegation that will pay particular attention to the realization of humanitarian actions , such as hospital care and charity, with full commitment to the project “The hunger of our neighbour “promoted  by H.R.H. the  Grand Master.

  • VISIT TO THE ROYAL SITE OF PERSANO

    Persano, 16 July 2015. The Delegate for Campania, Pierluigi Sanfelice, at the request of the military chaplain Don Claudio Mancusi and at the invitation of the Commanders of the Military Bodies of Persano, Colonel Augusto Gravante, Commander of the 4th Tank Regiment, Colonel Carmine Ferrante,  Commander of the Logistic Regiment Garibaldi, Colonel Fausto Ciriaco Troisi, Commander of the District of Persano and Colonel Lucio di Blasio, Commander of the 8th  earth Artillery Regiment , has gone to  visit the Royal site of Persano. This historic site is also linked to the zootechnics tradition  of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, as well Carditello, in fact in Persano there was a remarkable development of horse breeding that were then sold on the domestic and international markets; it was also  a place of hunting particularly loved by the sovereigns of the Bourbon Family. The reason of  this meeting is also linked to the charitable activities that the Constantinian Order, in agreement with the military command, has in mind to achieve in the near future in Italy and abroad.

  • THE CONSTANTINIAN ORDER of SICILY CELEBRATES THE FEAST OF SAN GIACOMO IN CAPIZZI

    Capizzi, 16 July 2015. The Archpriest of Capizzi, Reverend Don Luigi Cardella, Constantinian Chaplain, has celebrated the Holy Mass on the occasion of the Feast of St. James the Apostle, Patron of Capizzi. The celebration was attended  by the Brotherhood, the Vicar Delegate for Sicily, the Noble Dott. Antonio Janni,  the Archpriest of Caronia and Constantinian Chaplain Don Antonio Cipriano, the knights s Filippo Lo Monte and Giuseppe Callozzo, the Dame  Santina Ferlito and the Reverend  Don Benedetto Lupica, Priest of Scetis and Moira in Tortorici.

  • APPOINTMENTS OF THE REPRESENTATIVE OF VENEZIA AND PADOVA

    Rome, 16 July 2015. H.E. the Grand Prefect has given his agreement to the appointment of the Knight of Merit. Dr Aldo Benedetto Tagliapietra as  Representative of Venezia  and the to the appointement of  the Comm  of Merit Dr Stefano Gallo  as Representative of Padova , proposed  by the  Vicar Delegate for Triveneto Comm. Giorgio Miccoli.

Alberto Lembo, Commander of Jus Patrionato,  outgoing Representative of Verona, the Noble Alberto Lonigo, Knight of Grace,  outgoing Representative for Padova and the Cons. Nicola Falconi, Knight of Merit with Star who reached the end of  his mandate  as Representative of Venice.

  • HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE

    Nola, 10 July 2015. The Delegate of Campania Pierluigi Sanfelice, accompanied by the Knights Maurizio Barbato and Giuseppe  D’Amico, visited the Guardia di Finanza of Nola, in the context of a close partnership developed to help the poorest. The Guardia di Finanza has, on other occasions, offered to the Delegation of Campania different type  of clothing,suc as  shirts, dresses, pants, shoes, as well as a Camper for the Logistics of the  Emergency. The Guardia di Finanza of Nola deals with the detailed control of the territory of 14 districts with a very high criminal  density. Marquis Sanfelice also met the staff who took part in the operations that led to the seizure of the garments offered  to our Delegation: 1,000 pairs of sports shoes.

  • DONATION TO BAGNOLI

    Bagnoli, 9 July 2015. The Delegate for  Campania Marquis  Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli went to the Church of Santa Lucia a Mare where, on behalf of the Delegation,  offered  to the parish priest, Father Giuseppe Carmelo, a hundred pairs of trousers to give to the poor, receiving from Father Carmelo his best  thanks for all what the Order is able to do in favor of the Parish.

  • DONATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE VISPE ONLUS ASSOCIATION FOR A HOSPITAL IN BURUNDI.

    Pavia,  July 2015. The Representation of Pavia, through a joint action of  Knights,  Dames and five worthy friends (4 non-commissioned officers of the Guardia di Finanza and tone non commissioned officer of Carabinieri) has offered, in the area,  social assistance in favor of the VISPE Onlus Association (http://www.vispe.it/) to gather food and medicines to be sent to the MUTOYI Hospital in Burundi ,on behalf of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George.

    They were collected: 14,000 various pharmaceuticals and 1 ton of white rice.

  • CLOSING OF THE IX CONCERT SEASON OF THE DELEGATION OF SICILY

    Sicily, June 28, 2015. The ninth concert season of the Delegation of Sicily just ended  at the Church of S. Maria degli Agonizzanti  with a  concert  dedicated to the Master Giuseppe di Janni in the centenary of his birth. Master Giuseppe di  Janni  as well as the father and grandfather of the Knights of Grace Antonio and Giuseppe, was also the teacher of the Master Alberto Giacchino, Constantinian knight of Merit, artistic director of the Constantinian concert seasons Master Giacchino recalled the charismatic figure of his teacher and his great ability to establish with his students a relationship of “master” and confidant. Hundreds of his students have become, over time, teachers at the conservatory and first violins in the best Italian orchestras. The master Giuseppe di Janni, began his studies under the guide of his father Antonio, well known  orchestra leader at the end of  ‘800 and early’ 900. He continued his studies in Naples with Maestro Francesco Cilea and graduated at the Conservatory V. Bellini  in Palermo with Master G. Ferrara.  With the symphony orchestra of Sicily in the role of first violin, concertino,  he participated to numerous international tours throughout Europe. The concert was performed by a string quartet and piano, Antonia Sutera Sutera violin, Laura Plescia viola,  Franco Bongiovanni violoncello and Andrea Emanuele piano. They have been played music by Mahler.

  • DELIVERY OF GOODS, CLOTHING AND MEDICINES IN FAVOUR OF POPULATION OF NEPAL

    Rome June 27, 2015. The Vicar Delegation of Rome, according to Dr. Maria Teresa Letta, Vice President of the Italian Red Cross, made a big effort, in these weeks, to collect  essential goods in favor of the earthquake victims in Nepal.

    The large quantity of material collected, including medical devices (defibrillators and wheel chairs), tents to set up hospitals, emergency shelter and clothing for those disadvantaged populations, was offered , on June 27 at 16:30,  in the parish of S. Giuseppe al Trionfale  at  the presence of the Delegate  of Lazio,  H.S.H Prince Manfred Windisch-Graetz and the Vicar Delegate  for the city of Rome, the Marquis Lawyer Giorgio Mirti della Valle, as well as Knights and Dames of the Order.

    This important initiative is part of the project “The hunger of our neighbour” strongly supported by Our Grand Master H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, and integrates the continuous activities of the Order to give food and health support to the  the poor of the parish of S. Giuseppe al Trionfale.
