  • THE DELEGATION OF TRIVENETO IN VISIT TO THE SHRINE OF THE BEATA VERGINE DEL TRESTO

    Tresto, June 20, 2015: at the Shrine of the Beata Vergine del Tresto a representation of the Knights of the Delegation of Triveneto has attended a meeting with H.E. Monsignor Bruno Pedron who, since 2007, is Bishop of Ji-Parana (Brazil). On the occasion, the delegation has financially contributed  to the charitable actions  of the diocese of Ji-Parana of  Monsignor  Pedron that showed his gratitude and admiration for the economic support by expressing the desire and commitment to participate to the  activities of the Delegation of Padova  as “Spiritual Advisor”.

  • NEW CRUMBS OF HEALTH

    Monreale, 11 June 2015. At the ancient medieval tower next to the church of Maria SS. Degli Agonizzanti, entrusted to the Sicilian delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, it took place  the twice a month distribution of products for infants from 0 to 3 years, according to the project “New crumbs Health”, integrated in the big mission of the Order “The hunger of our neighbour “, strongly supported by the Grand Master H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon, Head of the Royal House Bourbon Two Sicilies.

    They were assisted 40 families with over 120 children.

  • “CORPUS CHRISTI” s celebration

    Trieste, June 7, 2015. On the occasion of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, it was held a Mass presided by H.R.E. the  Archbishop Giampaolo Crepaldi, Bishop of Trieste, Knight Grand Cross of Ecclesiastical Grace. The celebration was followed by a procession through the streets of Trieste, from the church of S. Giacomo Apostolo to the Cathedral of San Giusto. Many participants such as numerous Civil and Miilitary authorities, the faithful,  priests of various parishes in the city and province of Trieste, including a large contingent of Knights of Our Holy Order, led by the Vicar Delegate of Triveneto, Giorgio Miccoli, Commander of Merit.

  • PILGRIMAGE TO HOLY SHROUD

    Torino, June 6, 2015. Prince Augusto Ruffo di Calabria, the most important representative  of the Government of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, whose Grand Master is H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, has visited Torino , on June 6, together with many leaders from all over Italy and abroad, for the veneration of the Holy Shroud.

    The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George is considered one of the oldest orders of chivalry of the Christianity. Its purpose is  the propagation of the Faith and the glorification of the Cross, namely the promotion of values of Christian solidarity, giving its contribution through  actions and activities of  social and hospital assistance.

    The actions of all Delegations are coordinated to pursue  the humanitarian objective of the Order, to face a problem that unfortunately affects both  young and old people, populations of the so-called “third world” as well as people living in big metropolis of the ‘West; people of all races and all religions. This problem is “hunger”.

    The project that the Order wants to pursue, co-ordinating all its forces by directing them toward this goal, it is titled: “the hunger of our neighbour.”

    Our “neighbor” is to be understood in the evangelical sense of the term: persons who live near us.

    The Constantinian Knights have to pay attention to the basic needs of those who live around them and that too often, because of their proximity, they are not the subject of our special attention.

    This does not mean to restrict the sphere of action of the Constantinian Order to the Italian territory, as there are Delegations on every continent of the world.

    The project in question is already in place: it consists in providing continually a “shopping bag”, to families in serious economic difficulties, by shopping bag we mean a box contaning food and  basic necessities chosen according  to  the family need, this box is delivered monthly.

    It was also during this important event that the marriage “spirituality-humanity” has  got strongest  thanks to the concrete actions of the Order.

    The day  started at 11:00 am at Pralormo Palace, seat of the  Vinzaglio 6 Officers’ Club, with a conference on the Holy Shroud given by Monsignor Giuseppe Ghiberti, President of the Diocesiana Commission for the Shroud.

    Afterwards it took place a delivery of food to families in difficulty lliving in Torino.

Luigi Chersola, attended the first celebration of the third century of life of the Carabinieri in the prestigious barracks Vittorio Veneto, in Genoa, home of Command of the Legion Carabinieri  of Liguria.

  • DONTATION TO POOR FAMILIES OF PELLEGRINA DI BAGNARA

    Bagnara, 4 June 2015. H.E. the Grand Prefect Don Augusto Ruffo di Calabria, accompanied by the Secretary of the Royal Deputation, paid a visit to Bagnara where he was welcomed by the Delegate for Calabria, the  Noble Gianpietro Sanseverino of the  Barons of Marcellinara, the Vicar  Delegate Comm. Aurelio Badolati and several Knights and Dames. During the Constantinian event H.E. offered some food, on behalf of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, to the Parish of SS. Annunziata in Pellegrina di Bagnara assisting 25 poor families with problems related to lack of work and to toxic addiction.

  • REPUBLIC DAY

    Pavia, June 2, 2015. On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Italian Republic, the Representation of Pavia of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George was invited to participate to the official celebrations  held in the Teresian courtyard of the University of Pavia. Knights and Dames of the Order participated  to the parade and deployed their labarum spending their  time  to  explain the purpose of the charity activities of the Order in the world and in the territory of the Delegation led by Comm.  of Merit Cesare Talpini. Particular attention was put on the activities carried on to pursue the important purpose of the project strongly  supported by H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro: “The hunger of our neighbour.”

  • H.E. Don Augusto Ruffo di Calabria of the Princes of Scilla visiting Bagnara

    Bagnara, 4 June 2015. H.E. the Grand Prefect will visit the territory where the Ruffo family has left many traces after centuries of government.

    The host will be the Lions Club “Torre Ruggero”.

    Ruffo family is one of the most important noble families who ruled the region from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age.

    Political, economic, social and religious interests of the Ruffo  family did not affect only Calabria but were intertwined with those of the Kingdom of Naples and of the Holy See in a political, social, economic and religious  contest rather complicated.

    During the visit  there will be  Regional Authorities, Dignitaries and the Knights of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George welcomed by the Delegate for Calabria Gianpietro Sanseverino of the Barons of Marcellinara.

    The visit will start from the Church of Maria SS. Annunziata in Pellegrina during which, on behalf of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George H.E. the Grand Prefect will offer food to be distributed to needy families.

    On that occasion, the Management of the Confraternity of Maria SS. Annunziata will confer the title of Honorary Brother to H.E Don Augusto Ruffo di Calabria.

    In the afternoon, it will be held in Bagnara Calabra at the artistic and late Baroque church titled  to the Virgin Maria  SS. del Monte  Carmelo, the conference entitled: “The family Ruffo di Calabria and the Ducal Bagnara”; the conference is held under the patronage of our Holy Order.

  • HOLY FEAST OF CRUCIFIX

    Palermo, Sunday, May 31, 2015. At the Constantinian Basilica  della Magione, it will take place at 11.00 am the Mass for the Feast of the Holy Crucifix.

    At 17.00 it will start the solemn procession through the streets of the Parish of the SS Crocefisso.

     

  • CHARITY HELP TO NEEDY FAMILIES OF TORINO, NOVARA AND PAVIA

    Novara on May 30. 2015. Some volunteers of the delegation  of Torino, Pavia and Novara gathered at the deposits of the Treasury to prepare and divide all the goods, generously donated by the supermarket chain Esselunga, to be given to  poor families living in the area.

    The products offered  were not only food, but also household products and toys for children, to give even to the youngest  the chance of  a smile and a carefree moments.
