Monsagrati Alto, April 27th, 2019 – A solemn Eucharistic celebration was celebrated at the church of Monsagrati, on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the birth of Saint Zita. The mass was presided over by the canons of the Cathedral of San Martino in Lucca, in the presence of Father Rodolfo Rossi. The civil and military authorities of the province of Lucca, the mayor of the municipality of Pescaglia and the provincial commander of the police of Lucca, accompanied by the commander of the station of Pescaglia, attended the ceremony. The Tuscan delegation, the vice delegate and a group of knights attended the ceremony.
On April 28th, a solemn religious ceremony was held in Capizzi. Many faithful took part in the ceremony presided by the archpriest Father Antonio Cipriano. The two delegations were present alongside the Vice Delegate of Sicily, the Vice Delegate of Calabria, Mr. Letterio Donato and Mrs. Santina Ferlito. There was also a procession in the city. At the end of the mass, the archpriest went to the church of Our Lady of Graces and, after paying homage to the statue of the Virgin, the procession continued with the statue. In the afternoon, at the end of an intense and moving day, the delegation of Sicily offered two wheelchairs to the Calabrian delegation. These wheelchairs will be used to help people with reduced mobility.
Carrara, April 25th, 2019 – Some Knights and Dames of the Tuscan delegation, led by the Vice Delegate, participated in the solemn Eucharistic celebration on the occasion of the feast of St. George, patron of the Order. The solemn ceremony was celebrated by the emeritus bishop of Massa – Carrara – Pontremoli H.E. Eugenio Binini, with the owner of the Cathedral Father Raffaello Piacentini, Father Emanuele Borserini and the Vice Prior of the delegation Father Rodolfo Rossi.
On the occasion of Easter, the Knights of the Pavia Representation donated to the Voghera Resurrection parish a wooden altar and tabernacle decorated with marble and gold of the eighteenth century.
Cellatica, April 27th, 2019 – Some Knights took part in the Mass for the patronal feast. For some time, the Brescia representation has collaborated with the parish of Cellatica for the “Caritas” project. The mayor and the city council attended the ceremony as well as representatives of various associations.
San Giorgio in Villa Pedergnano – Erbusco (BS), April 28th, 2019 – In collaboration with the Caritas of the parish, a group of Knights took part in the Mass for the Patronal Feast, officiated by Bishop Giambattista Francesconi. The mayor and other local authorities were also present.
Turin, April 21st, 2019 – On Easter Day, the representative of the city of Turin, Mr. Trasforini, donated food, clothing and blankets to a needy family in Turin.
April 23rd, 2019 – HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, Head of the Royal House and Grand Master, sends his best wishes to all Knights and Dames of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George on the occasion of the feast of St. George, our Patron, with the hope that, thanks to his intercession, everyone can have an intense moment of faith, fraternity and charity.
Brescia, April 17th, 2019 – As part of the collaboration between the Knights of Brescia and the local penitentiary district, Mr. Maurizio Mirandola, with Mrs. Katia Chiari, Mr. Mosè Bonvicini and Mr. Benedetto Magro delivered 100 chairs and 8 tables, as well as 5 boxes of electrical equipment and paints. The material was donated by the Tanghetti e Chiari Foundation.
San Giovanni Valdarno, April 18th, 2019 – The vice delegate, together with Mr. Luca Templari, representative of Arezzo and Siena, donated a defibrillator of last generation to the company I.S.I.S. Valdarno. The equipment was handed over to director Lorenzo Pierazzi, in the presence of Mayor Maurizio Viligiardi. This donation is part of the project “Città cardio-protetta”.
The delegation was able to organize aa double charity event with the AIRC: the knights and the dames of the delegation bought many Easter eggs, whose income will go to cancer research. These eggs will then be donated to the canteens which offer hot meals to the needy people.
On April 12th, the meals were entirely offered by the knights of the delegation, in the presence of HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Prefect at the parish of San Pasquale in Chiaia. Easter eggs were also given as gifts to those in need. Giannangelo Marciano, Stefano Cimaglia Gonzaga, Anna Montella, Luigi De Angelis and many volunteers contributed to the success of the event.
On April 14th, a visit was made to the Sisters of Mercy, in the presence of HRH the Grand Prefect, Baron de Lutio, Chevalier de Angelis and Leopoldo de Gregorio Cattaneo in order to donate Airc’s Easter eggs.
On April 13th the ceremony of the old square Vittorio Emanuele II, now renamed in honour of Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, took place. Many knights and supporters gathered to attend the event. The square was full of people and the crowd cheered on HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies, godmother of the event. The meeting with the school groups and the “children’s council” was very moving as well. An exchange of gifts also took place with the mayor. The Grand Prefect also received the prestigious Troisi Award.
HRH the Grand Prefect also went to the Royal Archipendery of San Giorgio a Cremano with the Constantinian Honor Guard.
